The tree contains all the options that you can change in X-Setup Pro, organized into 'folders' (or 'branches'). Here is what each icon means:
Appears at the top of the tree, and can be used to expand
or collapse the entire branch.
A folder, which, when clicked on, will expand to reveal more
plugins or folders.
The folder has been selected.
Indicates a normal plugin that hasn't been selected.
This plugin has been selected.
This indicates a system critical plugin.
Appears when the plugin has crashed.
Clicking on a plugin inside this tree opens it and its options will be shown in the Options panel.
In this dialog window, all changeable options will be shown. Since all plugins work variously, the plugins will appear differently as well. Some of them consist of a collection of checkboxes, radio buttons, text boxes, buttons and others will appear as listboxes with checkmarks.
Apply any changes in each plugin with this button. If there is more than one button, it is necessary to click all the apply buttons to proceed all changes as well. You can't make any changes to your system without clicking on this button or pressing F9 on your keyboard.
This is a description of what the plugin does, and you should always read this description carefully before you make any changes to your system! The description not only describes what the plugin will change, but also any side-effects that may be caused by using the plugin, what operating systems it should be used with and some other useful links.
The Status Bar tells you briefly what X-Setup Pro is doing, for example loading plugins or applying changes.
When applying changes the change indicator at the bottom of the X-Setup Pro window shows to which registry path the last change has been applied.
Usr = HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Sys = HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
